This one's for you Riot.
I very much appreciate your enthusiasm for the artwork section of this site. Far too many of us (my self included) post screenshots as "art".
Your style reminds me of a guy I used to know a long time ago. It is very stylized and fun. Though your drawings are not very anatomically correct, all the basics are there. (approx. limb length, hips, etc.) I would strongly encourage you to experiment wherever possible with your media. It looks like you are primarily using colored penciles. Try something different; water colors, thicker paints, the computer if possible. Also, try creating a finished piece. Put in a background, other characters a border on the edge to define it. and finally, though this may or may not apply to your bringt style; you may want to experiment with heavy shadows. Good contrast always beefs up interest.
Keep up the good work.
Bob

I don't know Fix I find some of the book covers posted here fairly artistic.
Although I do abuse the art section on occasion I really do enjoy it and I'm glad we have someone on the site who's actually updating it regularly now. You go Riotmech, I might be art-impaired but we need more people who are'nt.

damnit! I meant to put a small aside in there about the difference between creative manipulation and just posting a snapshot. Here comes the flame, and I brought it on myself.

thx Fix,Ock n' Mr.Guy
I try my best to improve what i do, and believe me that when i find a piece of old art i did back when, i redo it like that! i also did or at least tried to make a comic involving Aven's story and in my prespective it wasn't half bad, but it wasn't half good too so i dropped it. I also try to color my best drawings, im actually thinking of colouring Rikti Hybrid and the Creeden's, and the reason i color my art with kiddy crayons is because i hate painting with...paint....well duh ....i don't really color them in my pc 'cause i'm just half geek and don't really have the programmes necessary to do that....
but i promiss you that some day you'll see some improved art..but until then you're stuck with the current one

Have you ever tried painting with crayons? No, really, I'm serious. melt the crayons down and paint with 'em. it's messy, but fun.

Well Riot, You motivated me. I submitted one of my older works and I will try and work out some free time to work on a group picture for the Dogs of War. I submitted one of the original characters a while back. It would be cool to do the new generation too.
