The subject of having multiple travel powers came up briefly while I was online with a few of our WG budies.

Wrayth. has Super Speed and Super Jump for travel powers. I respec'd into them after I hit 50. I know some people may be thinking, 'what a waiste' but it really is quite handy and tacticaly sound.

First of all, let me say that unless I am building a character for PvP I would not use more than one travel power... at least not early in the game. But since Wrayth. is built for PvP alone here is why it is so handy.

Super Speed is in my opinion the worst travel power to choose from for the simple fact that you have no verticle movement with it. This is especialy bad when you are being chased becuase it inhibits your ability to evade other characters. As long as they know they just have to keep looking down they will find you much easier. Super Speed does have one trait that despite my disdain for it makes it essential for my build. When combined with stealth from the concealment pool it makes you invisible to anyone without a +perception buff. Now THAT is handy. I can't tell you how many times I have been teamed with a squishy, especialy defenders, and had a brute charge in and try to take theem down only to go running like a school girl in North Kings Row after dark when they find me pounding on the back of their head.

So that is my reasoning for keeping my least favorite travel power and also my reason for adding super jump. How do I afford the slots. Easy, I personaly think that asside from caltrops there is not a single epic power for scrappers worth slotting. Alot of people disagree with me on that but hey, it is how I feel. And again the only reason i grabbed caltrops is becuase I PvP (can we say Stalker proof Shocked ).

I could go on about this but that is the general idea. I am not defending my build or point of view simply tossing some hard learned knowledge out there in hopes that it will aid someone if in no other way to show them what they don't want for their character.

There's one problem with that, though. Last I heard, Super Speed's stealth component didn't apply in PvP.

Its been working for me Shocked . At least to a reasonable extent. Perhaps I have a good bug for once Very Happy . SHHHHH- nobody tell the devs.
The only person that I have faced that could see me at any distance at all was a scrapper that had Tactics... never seen that before but it worked for him. Well I use the word 'worked' liberaly. It allowed him to see me at a greater range but it didn't save him from getting his butt kicked. Twisted Evil
