Well its live and not as crowded as expected. Tonight might be a different story.
My first impressions: It's DAMN nice to not have to constantly delete lvl 40 training enhancments.
Money (influence) is not going to become irrelevant as I had hoped. Making Invention Origin enhancements is more expensive than buying SO's. The fact that they don't reduce level will pay off in the long run, but at first it's still a huge cash layout. They also don't stay as efficient, I don't believe. My understanding and what I saw today are this: I'm lvl 38 with my troller..he makes a level 40 enhancement which is +2 to him.gives him I think 38% increase. As it becomes +1 to him it will be lower, like 35% at even, which is where I believe it will stay as you level beyond it, it is the same as a same lvl SO. SO....You won't get the increase you would if you loaded up with +3 SO's. However, it never runs out so at the loss of some efficiency you keep it forever.
I could be wrong about that, but it seems like having all lvl 53 SO's in PH (lvl 50 blaster) is better than all 50 IO's. I don't know if you can stack IO's or not, but I dont think you can.
The university is LAGGY as hell. It dropped my framerates into the teens with my new uber-gaming system everytime I made a turn. Not a huge deal for me, but on my laptop it may come to a slideshow-esque halt.
The flight poses are cool. It's nice to not go face first all the time. I'm tired of bugs in my teeth!
PH got his first orange recipe...Positron's Blast. Increase Damage and Range. It will cost 4 pieces of salvage and 485,000 influence to make. Holy frigging crap! It's a good thing the SG doesn't need prestige and I can play him out of SG Mode from time to time. That's some serious coin.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they do stay as efficient as when they're first slotted. I think they have set percentage boosts based on their level. The higher the level, the higher the boost, and the percentage remains constant even as you level up. A low level IO would give a small boost, but it would always give that boost for as long as it is slotted, so you don't have to worry about outleveling it, or even about it degrading. You might want to replace that low-level IO with a higher-level one that gives a bigger boost, but as long as it's equipped, you're getting the full bonus.

Yes, the percentage stays the same. If a level 40 IO gives a 38% bonus it always gives a bonus.
Low level IOs the Issue. A level 10 IO I believe is 10%, more then a TO. At level 50, if you still have it slotted it's still only 10%. So it really depends when you make it. Supposed Level 25 IOs are equivalent to Yellow SOs (--) I think.
P.S.
Worktables can be made in SGs so IO crafting and what not can happen there. ALso storage is avaible for individuals.

I finally got to give I9 a proper going-through last night. The first thing I did after completing the invention tutorial was to go to Wentworths and buy the stuff I needed to make some Winged Boots. I finally had a use for the massive fortune I've been hoarding since I started. I was able to easily buy the recipe and the salvage I needed. I kinda found it ironic that one of the pieces of salvage I needed was "Runebound Armor", though. That and a Human Blood Sample, and a Clockwork Winder. And I also equipped a Lv. 50 Accuracy IO in Cloak of Fear where an Acc SO used to be.

I too have been wasting the time away at Wentoworth's. I've been looking into the sets and working out new builds for my mains. Once I am done (which will tkae quite a while considering the considerable cost to get a complete set) Desimus's damage Res will be WAY beyond what it was and he with the bonus from the sets he will have at least 14.5% defense against melee damage at all times, along with MANY other smaller benefits. But that is with about five full sets and I only have about two and a half so far.
Wrayth. will be looking at a +15 or 20% recharge rate to all powers (loverly for a Regen since all my greatest powers are click) as well as some descent smashing and lethal Res and a BIG boost to damage. I have a full IO set in Touch of Fear and I was able to chain fear Ghost Widow with it while doing the States TF. For all the good it did me since it only took one strike for her to kill me. Still impressive since that power is the corner stone to my PvP. I am actualy rather optomistic about its performance and am a bit curious as to whether or not i could break through a Break Free.
These are projected builds though and will take a small fortune to get make it happen. Still I am well on my way.

I live on Victory server. In my SG/VG I'm 'The unofficial go-to guy for character builds both PvE and PvP'.
And I tested the Touch of Fear thing, but I had a /SR, so I had the added quickness and Hasten, and indeed it took 3 break frees to clear the Fear effect off.
Get this though... My cousin runs a DM/Regen and also worked in the Presence Pool power with the 2 fears. In a 1 on 1 arena match he ran the other scrapper out of break frees before the match was halfway over. Neat hua?

Man, just like in my stories, fix is always broke. Wandered into wentworths and said to myself... "Whoa, I'm too broke to buy anything here. Guess I'll have to go earn what I want by hitting things till candy comes out!"

I had a Tech Wing recipe drop off some Council in a scanner mission I was in earlier tonight. I just want to make sure no heroes around here on Justice need it before I sell it at Wentworth's.
Buying the Winged Boots set me back quite a lot, to the point where I decided not to buy some Pangean Soil for the Mako's Bite Acc/Dam/End/Rchg recipe I got to save inf. That rare piece of salvage was going for around 4 mil. I got about 5 mil left. Selling the Tech Wings recipe would make up for buying the Winged Boots recipe.
And about Fixit's post.
LOL
I guess we'll all be doing that, now. Beware, criminals, for you are but pinatas!
