I could also put the tech wings on Metal Noise, my Sonic/Devices blaster. I think adding them to his existing costume would look absolutely wicked. With them, he'd have an awesome "cyber bat" look.

Problem is, he's one of my lesser alts, and still at a measly Lv. 3. I've found that while I've created a lot of characters, I've only played Spectreblade, Armorbound, and Orochi Dragon with any kind of regularity. The rest have all been sitting on the login screen in the pre-travel power levels. Do I really want to use such a valuable item on a toon i hardly ever play?

So, do I sell it for loads of inf? Use it on a lowbie alt? Give it to a SG-mate?

I say sell it for influence or use it on an alt. It's all yours anyways.

Positron has said:

Quote:

I looked at the dataminer today at the costume drop rate and it IS lower than we anticipated.

We are looking into making some changes, but do not expect anything radical or quick.

We DO want costume recipes to be "commodities" that players actively seek and pay top inf. for, but we do not want them to be so rare that players can't get them, ever, in the course of their play.

Hopefully more coming.

I pulled this off the official forums:

Quote:

Some General TO/DO/SO/IO Enhancement Percentages
#8423379 - 06/05/07 08:08 PM Edit Reply Quote Quick Reply

Here's some enhancement percentages I pulled off of Mid's Hero Designer 1.5.

This helps me decide the break points for switching between TO, DO, SO, an IO as I level to get the most bang for my buck.

TO = / normal / +1 / +2 / +3 /
DO = / normal / +1 / +2 / +3 /
SO = / normal / +1 / +2 / +3 /

Schedule A
Accuracy, Confuse, Damage, Defense DeBuff, Drain Endurance, Endurance Discount, Fear, Fly, Heal, Hold, Immobilize, Intangible, Jump, Recharge, Recovery, Run, Sleep, Snare, Stun, Taunt, To Hit Debuff

TO = / 8.3 / 8.71 / 9.13 / 9.54 /
DO = / 16.7 / 17.54 / 18.37 / 19.21 /
SO = / 33.3 / 34.97 / 36.63 / 38.3 /

IO
lvl 10 = 11.7
lvl 15 = 19.2
lvl 20 = 25.6
lvl 25 = 32.0
lvl 30 = 34.9
lvl 35 = 36.7

Schedule B
Range, Defense Buff, Resist Damage, To Hit Buff

TO = / 5.0 / 5.25 / 5.5 / 5.75 /
DO = / 10.0 / 10.5 / 11.0 / 11.5 /
SO = / 20.0 / 21 / 22 / 23 /

IO
lvl 10 = 7.0
lvl 15 = 11.5
lvl 20 = 15.4
lvl 25 = 19.2
lvl 30 = 20.9
lvl 35 = 22.0

Schedule C
Interrupt

TO = / 10.0 / 10.5 / 11.0 / 11.5 /
DO = / 20.0 / 21 / 22 / 23 /
SO = / 40.0 / 42 / 44 / 46 /

lvl 10 = 14.0
lvl 15 = 23.1
lvl 20 = 30.8
lvl 25 = 38.5
lvl 30 = 41.8
lvl 35 = 44.1

Schedule D

Knockback

To lazy to put in these numbers.

Happy Slotting!

Good info to have in the back of your mind. I had kind of figured that 35 was the safe point for slotting IO's and had thrown a few sets into Myth. These numbers back up my assumption. I would say that spending the money on IO's prior to 35 was a wast of money but its amazing how far your influence will go at WW these days as long as you are willing to be patient.

So has anyone else noted a trend towards offensive sets costing more than the defensive ones. I have been able to pick up three Doctored wounds most of a regenerative tissue and a res and def set for Wraith alone, but those Melee attack ones are killers. Some of the recipes going for 3mil and more.

The up side is my survivabilty with that character has never been higher. I added Tough and Weave back into my build, both six slotted, something i never would have considered doing pre Iss9. I can take a pill box now, with the aid iof a heavy of course, by just ccasting Aid Self and Reconstruction and not using dull pain and/or instant healing. Havent been able to do that since Test.

I see the price reflecting to what reqiures the more rarer salvage. A recipe not requiring rare magical salvage fetch mil+ and the ones requiring the rare magical salvage go for a few thousand or less.

Seems your going to spend millions for any of the indmenad sets. News Flash picked up all of Malaise sets for pretty cheap. It is going to cost tens of millions to build in salvage alone unfortunately at today's prices.

Those Salvage Items are the true kickers. But you would be suprised what a little comparison shopping can get you. I picked up an IO enh for about 1Mil while the recipe alone was running the same price.

Probably a fluke or just luck of the draw but still not bad.

the market is bizarre.

I've mad a ton killing time sitting at the black market/WW's buying lvl 45+ SO's for anywhere from 500 to 10,000 and selling them for twice that.

I've picked up IO's (non set) for less than a store would charge me for the same lvl SO.

I've also made over 8 million selling salvage between 2 characters.

I don't get it...people are willing to pay absurd prices and sell for even lower. Isn't the market supposed to be the other way around? Buy low and sell high?

Confused

D
