lately i've been hearing alot of contrast between these two. regretably i have only seen Transformers so i cant voice any opinion on Die Hard.
Transformers was done really well in the CGI and was over all pretty good. However, being as its one movie, the story was a bit rushed and slowed down for sake of plot in the middle. I guess they thought to many fight scenes would make it not as interesting.......(noobs)
anyway i found it very interesting and the fact that the Even-Stevens kid hooks up with a girl like that proves there is no justice in this world.
P.S. did anybody who saw it catch the original transforming noise when the hellicopter transforms in the staring scene? it hought that was kinda cool.

Actually I think the Matrix: Reloade proved that to be true. The 10 or 15 minutes fight scene in the beginning with Agent Smith I found rather boring and wished they would get to the plot.
But since I don't officially acknowledge the existance of the second and third movies I digress.
I have no interest in seeing Transformers until it hits PPV or the movie channels. I am leaning toward PPV. I grew up on them, but the movie doesn't seem to hold any interest.
Live Free or Die Hard I heard isn't bad. In fact, it is what it is. A sequel in the Die Hard franchise, and people would feel better about it if they remembered that when they see it. I even heard one critic say it was the best of the sequels. Die Hard, the original did usher in a new spin on the action genre movies that has been copied an umpteen number of times. Like Under Siege, Die Hard on a boat. Speed, Die Hard on a Bus. The Matrix, Die Hard in the "matrix."
Okay the Matrix did offer new visuals that also have been copied too, but really its Die Hard.

well in my opinion theres 2 major types of fighting action
theres matrix style... which is basically style.. slow motion effects... lots of badass moves and so forth
then die hard style... which... for the most part... is straight forward...
though in live free die hard some of the fights were perdy repetitive ... i shoot you in the foot then shoot you in the face
.... and thaaats aaall iii haavee too saayy aaboouut thaat
