So its been what, six months since I posted?
This one is a little off the beaten path for me. Unusual in more ways then one but it captured my mood pretty well.
Oh as a personal note, I finally back in the land of the big PX. Landed in VA at 2:20 PM on the sixth of November. Vindea is still in Nebraska but shouldbe here in a week once I have the essentials set up in the apartment. It was a good year but I am glad it is over.

Ok I had to re-read this. reading it in-between projects at work only got me lost.
Is this a dream? I wonder. All the way up to the end I had suspicions that it wasn't.
Very good at keeping suspense, without the need to resort to physical actions.
Nicely done.

. That last scene didnt even exist until the last edit before I posted. I like the feel of the whole thing much better with it included, but I am glad it still leaves the room for personal perspective.
Like I said it is very unusual style and theme for me. Glad you liked it.

Wow. There are some serious thoughts in that handsome head of yours.
I liked it, even though I generally don't like stories that don't have a definite ending. Lord of the Flies really messed me up, cuz I kept wondering what happened after the sailors got there. Anyway~I liked your story. Very deep. How about a date on Friday?

Seriously though, what was the dream, what was the flashback, and what was the present. With an active afterlife or even further dreaming in a hospital this story can end either way.
All in the mind of the reader.

Wow. Very nice. I loved the suspense and the raw emotion. Your description of his pain made it almost possible to feel along with him.
