For those of you who play on Liberty Server, you may already know the empath known as VuDu DawL. She used to spend a lot of time in the Hollows. And Pocket D. And in the arms of a certain scrapper.. well, okay, many scrappers.. and some tankers.. and... then there was this time, at a Rikti encampment... oh wait, you don't want to hear that...trust me. Anyway...I started playing City of Heroes in July of 2004. DawL was my first character, and remained my only character for quite some time. I have several others, now, all on Liberty, although there are iterations of the mains on other servers just to hold their names. At one time I ran four accounts, and was often playing two and sometimes three simultaneously. In real life, I write erotica as a hobby, and have for many years. You may notice that my *cough* tendencies sort of bleed over into my fan fiction. Many of my stories are suitable for general audiences, some definitely are not. If you check them out, as they are linked from the site, please remember to heed the content warnings! I don't want to offend anyone. Tapestry, the overview, is just that. Not exactly a complete story, but rather like a synopsis of where the combined stories will take you, so that if you choose not to read the ones with content warnings, you will still understand the overall plot. I am currently working on "The Prodigal", the next in the series. This occurs after Dawl has taken a long hiatus (while I began nursing school). I have left the game for the most part, but sneak back during breaks between the semesters. The stories were written to coincide with real life events, and thus explain the absence. But I am getting ahead of myself there..... hehe. I am really happy I found this group. I have read many stories here already. I think the Writer's Guild is a great resource for finding the best fan fiction! Thanks to Tropic for the great site, a warm welcome, and for posting my stuff. And if you are ever battling it out on the streets of Paragon City on Liberty server, and the empath that stops to buff and heal you has very distinctive horns, and little to no clothing... please... by all means say "hi!" I've been told I give great Fort!

I can't reflect how great it is, thru shimmering images transmitted across the electronic ether, to get new blood. I am looking forward to read what you have done when work and life gets less hectic at the moment. Customers, Geez! I used to be over on Liberty with my Occam's Series of characters, but have since moved one to Justice. (Yay Transfers!) Great to have more writers in the mix and would be nicer still to have another person willing to read and comment on works done. I'll stick my head in on your work some time for sure. I have a few on Liberty, mostly under 15 but one 33 Dark Archer I play in a static group on Sundays. There really seems to be a lot of nice folks here. I am very impressed. And so many great stories! It's like a kid in a candy store - I don't know what to go for first. I have really enjoyed reading several of them, though I have to admit I haven't read as many as I might have liked. I seem to have developed this addiction to a Wacom.... *rubs the cramps out of her right hand* ... Okay, my first step was admitting it...now.... must... put... down... the... pen..... Heh. I am several pages into the latest story, but if I don't make it to the finish line by the 14th of January, it may be a long time before I can wrap it up. VuDu DawL Sidekick Joined: 17 Dec 2007 Posts: 64 Location: State of Confusion	Posted: Mon Jun 23, 2008 11:45 pm    Post subject:   I actually *started* work on reorganizing and separating the stories into smaller chapters, so the menu off of http://coh.iswiz.com/stories.php should show the correct menu (haven't fixed the one for my gallery yet - it refuses to call a different directory so I have to duplicate the header includes into it's own directory.. what a pain.) This should make reading the long ones easier as you can read a little bit at a time, and bookmark your 'place'. I am currently wrapping up the latest story, but I did the first part, then the last part, and am now trying to bridge them in the middle. After being traumatized by a semester of biology, I decided I needed a break. Then there was this near-death experience a week before finals... *sigh* But I pulled it all off, made my 4.0, and took a short vacation to recuperate. I am now back playing CoH again, mostly on Liberty (and mostly at strange hours with my partner). The writing is going slow, but going. The website is going down next week for a server move, but hopefully downtime will be short and sweet. I haven't done near as much reading as I'd like to. I found a killer Photoshop tutorial, and some new goodies for DAZ. There is so much I want to do and so little time.. I read this post and had an idea of how to add my own stories to my site in a way that will be godawful confusing to lay out. But I like the idea, so now I HAVE to do it. BTW, "killer photoshop tutorial"? *perk* I just redid the first two pages of my guide site and the door on the first page needs some love, I just can't figure out what or how. I just got my second 50 last weekend, this one on Liberty. A Dark Archery Defender. If you're in the Writer's channel and see me on and want to run a bit, give me a shout. I've also got a spread of people in the teens and 20s. I'm also intrigued by a couple of other things you posted up there. Part of me really wants to ask, but the rest of the voices tell me that it's wrong because if you wanted to give details, you would have. Then the curious voice says that if you didn't want to be asked, you wouldn't have mentioned it in the first place. Stupid voices. So, um, if you wanted someone to ask, I'm asking. If you didn't then I'm not. Fair enough? I didn't get a chance to read your stories when you posted them because of real life stuff, so be sure to let us know when they are ready again. Unless I-13 adds a lot of the same stuff I-12 did, I should have more time in this fall. _________________ Guide for new players is now (mostly) updated for Issue 12.
