While on leave last week I blew an inordinate amount of money on Comics. In particular the Civil War series of Marvel Comics. I have read or own nearly every one. I didn’t bother with Miss Marvel, Thunderbolts, She-hulk and a few other minor ones. I also got the full Age of Apocalypse saga for old times sake, but I have to say, I was really impressed with the Civil War as a whole. Especially if you track multiple titles like Spider-Man, Front Line, Fantastic Four etc. the way they wove the story and showed it from different perspectives was impressive to say the least. I was very disappointed with the X-men series, and the Captain America one was excellent but it had so little to do with the War that it was a little anti-climactic. I loved inspiration art work that Mike Turner did for the series, he and Mike Silvestri are without a doubt my all time favorite pencil artists in the business. Amazing Spiderman was an incredible piece of work in my opinion and Wolverine could only be described as ‘raw’. I mean the guy gets incinerated down to his skeleton and a couple hours later he is hacking away at the guy who hit him.
So if any of you have followed some or all of that particular Marvel event then shout out. We cant let this entire week go by without a single post

I enjoyed the build up and the conclusion but im goner have to read more about the aftermath before i cast my vote on it.
It was a make or break event for Marvel comics and im looking forward to the fallout from it........Still cant believe Cap's no longer with us Guess ill have to wait and see.

Are you refering to when they are in the Avenger tower, BPR? The guard wearing the ski mask, when all the rest of them are wearing face peices?
I too am curios what the fall out will be. In the Cable DeadPool one Cable went to the President and told him that if he did not stop the Registration act then the next time they met he would be watching his succesor six times removed sign a treaty of surrender.
I think the two variant Avenger series will be the ones to watch honestly. The whole thing was hardly a bump in the road for the X-men. Fan 4 will recover from their differences and drive on, etc. etc. And of course Spider Man will alwas be worth $2.50.
Throughout the entire series my opinion of Iron Man kept get lower and lower until I read the end of the Second Frontline where the reporters reveal what they found out about Stark's and his methods; the lengths he was willing to go to accomplish what he saw as the greater good. I realised that is the exact type of character I LOVE to write about. People who are nto afraid to use questionable or even borderline insane means to reach the apropriate end.

I finally got to read the Civil War titles... I had been wanting to vewry badly since the tale I had started spinning was very similar in as much as there is a drastic change in how heroes are treated. I loved it.
Oh, and on the note of issue 4: I think BPR is talking about the panel right above the guard with teh ski mask. That dude looks kinda like... well... you just have to take a look.
