Bob Frendt? That sounds so familiar... can't quite place it though
Interesting premise here man. Kind of a Civil War theme, which rocks. Can't wait to see where it will take us.

Yeah, Civil War (kickass as it was) irked me because it had me rewriting a lot of my ideas. I wanted to get back to a "masked avenger" type setting, and the best way to do that was to take my cue from what was being written at the time of my last story. Tropic went rouge, heroes were coming under fire, I had even created an organization that could be the spearhead of disallowing heroes. The best way to do this, was to set it in the future. How far in the future you ask? Well, we know it is the next generation, but that's all you get... for now.

Civil War?
MW, is that that storyline from the other thread. (which I can't remember where it's located.)
I like the idea of the Vigilante Act, or whatever authorized heroes, being rescinded. I too had Occam's Razar having his license revoked. His solution was working for Portal Corp, which technically doesn't need licensed heroes. Although, I can see political pressure pushing the issue on them as well.
Lot's of characters in this short story, so I am confused and still working them out.
I like the Gamester tie-in and how its still unresolved.
I think the time traveling in Issue 11 will be neat and may offer some other intersting choices when it's finally revealed.
I can't help but think that some villainous plot is afoot with the C.A.V.E.A.T. Villains have much to gain by lowering the status of the heroes.

Yes, I did start a thread in regards to Civil War a month or so ago... maybe even longer. It is a Marvel universe event where, as you recalled, a registration act was invoked. Many heroes went rogue, led by Captain America, and were hunted down and locked away by the registered heroes, led by Iron Man. As far as the intricacies, character development, and pure quality of writing, it is probably one of the best events Marvel ever put out.
But there I go thread jacking. I too am curious about the activist group. I agree that there is probably something more behind all of this than meets the eye, but since I am being patient with Not the Villain I should also be patient here
