Invulnerability / Will Power
Defense
S/L: 27.2 / 11.3
Fire/Cold: 27.2 / 26.6
Energy/Neg 27.2 / 26.6
Psionic 9.0 / 21.9
Melee 23.4 / 11.8
Ranged 17.8 / 11.1
Resistance
S/L: 88.9 / 85.5
Fire/Cold: 28.3 / 32.7
Energy/Neg 26.6 / 30.2
Toxic 25.8 / 30.2
Psionic 0 / 61.7
Regen
184 / 460
These numbers were pulled from Mids. The invuln is very close to Desimus' actual build, which includes tough and weave. The WP one is Patriot's projected with only the Primary set establishing its defenses. Neither build is very extravagant. Well under 100 mil each.
They stand relatively close, with the Invuln taking the lead in a toe to toe Smashing Lethal fight. WP is a little better rounded with the other various damage types and the of course there are those beautiful Psionic numbers, which is where WP pulls ahead in survivability. Then there is the Regen. I believe that percentage for WP is with only one enemy in range... so yes now we are leaving Invuln in the dust. Oh and did i forget to mention the acc debuff to all foes in range that WP has? Not to mention the fact tha Patriot's build is only scratching the surface of what it COULD be since I spent alot of slots earning a +30% damage bonus for him.
A synical part of me fully expects a little nerfing to hit this set. It is easily, and without much work, the most resiliant set in the game.

Ironically the sent was toned downed a lot before it hit the open beta. I would hate to see them nix it again. It use to be obviously OMG!

My tests on level bumped characters in the closed beta basically convinced me that unless you fought Nosferatu, there was no way to accidentally die using Willpower. You had to make a concerted effort to find a huge spawn of all purple stuff, with bosses, and Mu to drain off the endurance, and even then you had until about 25% health to decide you didn't really want to die and could take steps to survive.
Oh, and if you combine that self heal on the 15 second timer from Dark Melee with Willpower, it's REALLY hard to be killed. Other tests that made me die a bit inside were an Electric Melee Brute with Build Up and Lightning Rod set for max recharge. Every 35 seconds, everything dies.
Oddly, Spines/Will wasn't the AoE steamroller I'd hoped it would be.
