Posted: Tue Jun 24, 2008 6:31 pm    Post subject: To Cali   So I'm leaving on Thursday for about a two month stay in California. I wish I couldsay there was going to be some pleasure time in there some where but I'm probably going to be stuck on a Marine Corp base for the entire stay. I will have access to the internet and my Yahoo account so I can still submit stories but I don't know if I will be able to access the forums or not. Most of the firewalls the military uses blocks that sort of thing. I will of course be trying to find my way around such obstacles but in case the worst comes true do not be surpised if you do not hear from me very often until the end of August. _________________ Murphey's Laws of Combat "A sucking chest wound is natures way of telling you to slow down."

Posted: Thu Aug 14, 2008 5:35 pm    Post subject:   Well I'm back and yes, I had far less internet access than I thought. I was also far more occupied than I anticipated. Days, nights and weekends had no meaning it was just work. Think I averaged about five ours of sleep at best before I would get woken up to deal with... something. The mission was a success though and we got back with minimal injuries and damage to equipment. The weather around San Diego was awsome. No rain at all the entire time which was quite handy, but the wind off the ocean and down the mountains kept it pretty cool. The air was dry so pretty much zero humidity so that was even cooler. I'm actualy supposed to get a navy award out of it too. Army guys dont get too many chances for that type of thing. What I truely regret is that I didn't have time to get a tattoo while I was over there... oh well. At least I am finaly home, and my daughter is talking up a storm... wonder where she gets that from. Give me a little while to get caught up guys. I got a few days off before I have to head back into work so hopefully I will be able to read up on most of what I have missed. And I notice something unusual has occured with the two private SG's I am involved with. The DoW, on Justice, has now been taken over by one Break Glass, Ockham, by virtue of the fact that he was the only person to log on in the past 45 days. This was rather disconcerting to note until I logged onto Virtue and found that one of my characters was now the leader of Ockham's private SG there on that server...
