A little long.....

Postby TealSwann » Tue Jul 15, 2008 1:11 pm

...but I opted to post the whole story at once since I'm the type of person who hates waiting for the next installment. Most of the time, I wait for all of the books in a series to be published before I read them. I realize on here it's weeks, not months or years in between...but for those of us who are impatient, the story that will be posted next week(in its entirety) is long as well, so good news for you. For the rest. Sorry...suck it up. ;)

Heh, I liked it because it was short :)

I was sort of hoping next week would be the rest of it though. It feels unfinished. What happened at the trial? Is she a Blaster or a Corruptor? Is her lawyer gonna get her off then make her work for some other organization? (sorry... I do this)

I liked it overall. I especially liked the way the last line bled into the title. It tied stuff together really well.

Bring on next week

Unfortunately, next week’s is a about a completely different character. When the hubby read it, he thought it felt a little unfinished as well, so maybe I’ll have to look at a part II. I was going to go into the whole CoV Breakout scenario, but when I hit the current end, I wasn’t sure how and if I wanted to go there. As far as length, this one (and the next) is three times the length of my normal stories, so for me it’s long.

I think going further with her will be a challenge for a couple of reasons. First, she’s the hubby’s toon, and second, I’m really not fond of the red side. I think it’s the dismal environment and the difficulty navigating. It makes it harder to write about it, when you’re not as familiar with enemies, zones, and TF’s. But…I always enjoy a challenge…

Ahh yeah, I can see where that would be a challenge. There's not really a way to hint that the Breakout is coming without pulling out of the flashback, then that loses the impact of that last line.

I hadn't thought about the Breakout. In a lot of my villain backgrounds it never happened... Stupid railroad plot.

Excellent story.

Long? Didn't seem that way to me.

Unfinished? Not to I, seemed like the tip of the iceberg. One drenched in flames and sliding into the Lost Pits of Hades. Sounds like a fun ride! :)

The ending tied well with the whole story. Ooo so much to see.

I hope the next character leads to Cora.
